At Highland, we believe our Small Groups are the place where believers “do” life together. Here we learn to live out the Great Commission and the Great Commandments in Great Community together!
Joining a small group allows a person to go deeper into God's word, participate in open discussion, develop community, create accountability, and enjoy fellowship with others. Small Groups meetings are times to be renewed in your faith, to realize your purpose in life, and to relate with others in a similar stage of life.
We offer small groups for all ages and stages of life.
Worship Service, Sundays at 10:30 AM
Highland Baptist Church is a multigenerational fellowship of Christ-followers, and our worship services reflect our love for God and each other. We express our worship of God primarily through congregational singing, times of prayer, and reading and preaching the Bible, extending a public invitation to follow Christ, and giving tithes and offerings to the work of the church. We also regularly observe baptism as new believers unite with the church. And, we also share in the Lord’s Supper quarterly throughout the year.
Our musical content and style could be described as blended. We typically use choir, orchestra, and praise team in our worship leadership. And, we sing traditional and modern hymns as well as newer praise songs.
Our pastor preaches expositionally (explaining what the Bible says). He typically preaches through books of the Bible in seasonal series with occasional topical messages and series mixed in.
Parking
Highland Baptist Church is located on the corner of Chisholm Road and Simpson Street near the 7-Points intersection in North Florence. Guest parking is located near the welcome center entrance on that corner. Highland parking is located surrounding the buildings and across the streets around the church.
For families with preschool children we recommend using the parking lot on Eugenia Street adjacent to the nursery entrance. For families with older children and youth we recommend using the parking on Chisholm road.
